Coaches Charity Classic

The Goal of the Friendship Exchange

In 2009 the Friendship Exchange re-introduced the Coaches Game to our program.  We brought back this part of the program with a twist.  That although we have worked very hard to open this program to all players that wish to particpate and fundraise to meet our goals, we still could make a difference as a program.  Therefore the "Coaches Charity Classic" was started. We hold this game each year alternating between Canadian and American Children's Charities.  Our program is more than about the game of hockey... It is about friendship.... about families and of course our communities.....The Bieth Pelland Celebration of Youth ...the Friendship Exchange is about not only the players that make up our program but the youth in our communtiy that find themselves at times struggling just to be kids......

Here is what we have accomplished with this Charity Game todate:

2009- Childrens Wish- $3000.00

2010- Clakey's Kids- $3000.00

2011- Ice Piarates - $2000.00

2012- Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF)- $$$-ITS UP TO YOU!!!!!

Our 2012 Charity

The Friendship Hockey Exchange would like to announce the Charity for this year’s Coaches Classic.  We will be raising money for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF).  This charity was chosen in honor of a the USA Peewee player, Ian Myers.  Ian, a Veteran Exchange player, was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes since the age of 15 months.  We hope everyone adds the game to their USA weekend agenda and shows their generosity.

So join the "Friendship Exchange" in "sharing the friendship" by donating to this great cause. More information to follow!
